You have finished darshan, you have your bags, and now you need to get back to Pune. That is a different problem from getting to Shirdi, and it is why this route exists as its own booking.

A one-way drop starts at ₹3,515 for 185 km, with fuel and driver included and no charge for the empty leg.

Why Book a Return Cab in Advance

Shirdi has plenty of vehicles waiting outside the temple, and the fare you are quoted there depends entirely on how the conversation goes and how tired you look.

A booked cab means the fare is fixed before you travel, the driver's number reaches you by SMS, and you are not negotiating on a footpath with luggage after a long day.

You can book this the same morning, or before you even leave Pune.

Pickup Points in Shirdi

  • Your hotel — door to door, anywhere in Shirdi or Rahata
  • Near the temple — we agree a specific meeting point, since vehicles cannot get close on busy days
  • Sainagar Shirdi railway station
  • Shirdi Airport — about 15 km from the temple

On busy days, particularly Thursdays and festival dates, the roads near the temple are closed to vehicles. Tell us where you are staying and we will fix a pickup point that actually works rather than one that sounds close.

Route and Travel Time

Shirdi → Sangamner → Chakan → Pune on NH-60.

  • Distance — 185 km
  • Time — about four hours
  • Road — good highway; the slow stretch is Chakan into Pune

Afternoon departures hit Chakan traffic on the way in. Leaving Shirdi before noon or after 4 PM makes for a smoother arrival.

Stopping on the Way Back

Two things people add to the return leg:

  • Shani Shingnapur — about 70 km from Shirdi. Adds two to three hours including darshan, and fits comfortably into the return day.
  • Ahmednagar — on the alternate route back, if you want to stop for a meal or visit the fort

Tell us at booking. A planned detour is a different fare from a decision made at a junction, and we would rather quote it upfront.

Which Car to Book

Drop Points in Pune

Door to door anywhere in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad — Hinjewadi, Wakad, Baner, Kharadi, Viman Nagar, Magarpatta, Hadapsar, Camp, Kothrud, Deccan, Pimpri, Chinchwad and Nigdi.

Also Pune International Airport and Pune Junction. If you have a flight or train, tell us the time and we will build in the buffer rather than cutting it fine.

Going to Shirdi Instead?

See Pune to Shirdi — 186 km, and a same-day darshan and return is entirely possible with a 4 AM start.

Booking both legs together as a round trip works out cheaper than two separate one-way fares, and the same driver stays with you. See outstation cab booking.
