Pandharpur is 210 km from Pune, about four hours, and it is where Maharashtra goes. The Vitthal Rukmini temple on the Chandrabhaga draws more devotees over a year than almost anywhere else in the state.
A one-way drop starts at ₹4,150, with fuel and driver included.
If you are travelling for Ashadhi Ekadashi, everything about this trip changes.
Lakhs of warkaris walk to Pandharpur for it, arriving over several days. Roads on the route are partly closed to traffic, diversions are in force, and the town itself is completely full. A four-hour drive can become eight.
What this means practically:
Kartiki Ekadashi in November is the second-largest and follows the same pattern. Every Ekadashi through the year is busier than an ordinary day.
Outside the Ekadashi periods, Pandharpur is a straightforward four-hour drive and darshan is quick. A same-day return works comfortably:
Pune → Baramati → Indapur → Pandharpur
The alternative via Solapur is longer and only worth taking if you are stopping there. See Pune to Solapur.
Baramati sits on this route and makes a natural break.
Temple arrangements and darshan queues change during festival periods. Check the current position if you are planning around a specific time.
Pandharpur trips are usually joint family or community group affairs. A tempo traveller costs less per head than three cars and keeps everyone together in the darshan queue.
For darshan, book a round trip. The driver waits during your temple visit and brings you home, which costs less than two one-way bookings and matters more here — Pandharpur has limited return transport outside festival season.
A one-way drop suits an overnight stay or continuing to Solapur. See one way taxi in Pune.
Pandharpur, Akkalkot and Tuljapur together make a comfortable two-day circuit, and it is one of our more common multi-day bookings.
Toll and parking are not included. They are charged at actual cost and shown separately on your bill.

Two to three days ahead on an ordinary week. Three to four weeks for Ashadhi and Kartiki Ekadashi.

About four hours for 210 km via Baramati and Indapur. It is reasonable state highway, not as fast as NH-48 but straightforward.

Yes, and it is one of our more common multi-day bookings. Akkalkot is 110 km and Tuljapur 130 km, and together they make a comfortable two-day circuit.
