The Mumbai-Pune Expressway takes two hours. Getting out of Mumbai to reach it is the part that decides how long your trip actually takes.
A one-way drop starts at ₹2,549 for 156 km, with fuel and driver included and no charge for the return leg.
From Andheri or Bandra at 9 AM, reaching Panvel alone can take ninety minutes. From the same place at 6 AM it takes forty. The expressway does not change; the city does.
Rough guide by pickup area:
If you have a meeting or a train to catch in Pune, work backwards from your pickup area, not from the 156 km figure.
Friday evenings are the single busiest slot in this direction. Sunday evenings are heavy going back.
Door to door across the city and Navi Mumbai:
Fares vary slightly by pickup point since the distance changes. The figure you see before booking is what you pay.
Flying into Mumbai and heading to Pune? That is a different booking with flight tracking, so a delayed landing does not cost you the cab. See Mumbai Airport to Pune, which includes 45 minutes free waiting after landing and a driver at the arrival gate.
Landing at Navi Mumbai instead? See Navi Mumbai airport cab.
You pay for one direction. A round trip on this route costs roughly double, and there is no reason for it if you are staying in Pune, flying out from there, or being picked up at the other end.
If you are returning within a day or two, ask for a round trip quote — it usually works out cheaper than two separate one-way bookings and the same driver stays with you. See outstation cab booking and one way taxi.
Going to a meeting straight off the drive? The Crysta is worth the difference. Three hours in a hatchback and then walking into a client office is not the same thing.
Door to door across Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad — Hinjewadi, Wakad, Baner, Balewadi, Kharadi, Viman Nagar, Magarpatta, Hadapsar, Camp, Koregaon Park, Kothrud, Deccan, Pimpri, Chinchwad and Nigdi.
Also Pune International Airport and Pune Junction railway station.
A short break for tea or food is fine — tell the driver. For a proper halt, mention it at booking:
An extended detour changes the distance and the fare. We tell you the revised figure before setting off, not after.
Mumbai to Pune is one of our highest-volume corporate routes — head office to plant, client visits, and weekly commutes between the two. Monthly billing with GST invoices, fixed drivers for repeat routes and a named contact. See corporate taxi service.
Toll and parking are not included. They are charged at actual cost and shown separately. The expressway toll is significant on this route and always appears as its own line, never rolled into the fare.

A one-way drop starts at Rs 2,549 for a Wagon R or Swift Dzire, Rs 3,499 for an Ertiga, Rs 4,349 for an Innova and Rs 5,360 for an Innova Crysta. All include 156 km, fuel and driver. Toll and parking are charged at actual cost.
About three hours, but it depends heavily on where in Mumbai you start. From Panvel or Navi Mumbai it is around 2.5 hours. From Andheri or Bandra add 60 to 90 minutes, and from South Mumbai add up to two.
Before 7 AM by a wide margin. Between 5 and 9 PM, getting out of Mumbai alone can take two hours before the expressway even starts. After 10 PM is quick, though night charges apply.
Yes, door to door across the city and Navi Mumbai. Fares vary slightly by pickup point since the distance changes, and the figure shown before booking is what you pay.
No. A one-way fare covers only the direction you travel. If you are returning within a day or two, ask for a round trip quote instead, as it usually costs less than two one-way bookings.
No. Fuel and driver are included in the quoted fare. Toll and parking are charged at actual cost and shown separately, never rolled into the fare.
A short break for tea or food is fine, just tell the driver. For a longer halt or a detour to Karla and Bhaja Caves, mention it at booking so we can price it correctly.
A sedan for four passengers with two suitcases, which is the usual choice. An Ertiga for six. An Innova Crysta if you are heading straight into a meeting, since three hours in a hatchback is a different arrival.
Yes, though that is a separate booking with flight tracking, 45 minutes free waiting after landing and a driver at the arrival gate. See our Mumbai Airport to Pune page.
