Solapur is 250 km from Pune on NH-65, about four and a half hours. A one-way drop starts at ₹4,998.
The city itself is a textile and industrial centre. But most of the people we drive there are going somewhere beyond it.
Three of Maharashtra's most visited shrines sit within 130 km of Solapur, and most people doing them use the city as their base:
All three fit into a two-day circuit from Pune comfortably, and that is how most of our bookings on this route actually run. Trying to do all three as a day trip from Pune means fifteen hours in a car.
Tell us at booking which shrines you want. The order matters, and the driver plans the day around darshan timings rather than just distance.
Pune → Bhigwan → Indapur → Akluj → Solapur on NH-65.
Bhigwan is worth knowing about. The backwaters there draw flamingos between November and February, and it is a genuine birdwatching spot about 100 km from Pune. If you are travelling in season and have an hour, ask the driver to stop.
Akkalkot and Tuljapur bring extended families together, so tempo travellers are common on this route.
Solapur's textile mills, sugar factories and the MIDC belt draw regular travel from Pune. We run these on monthly billing with GST invoices and fixed drivers for repeat routes. See corporate taxi service.
A one-way drop suits business travel, relocations and anyone staying on.
For a temple circuit, book a round trip or a two-day booking. The car stays with you across Akkalkot, Tuljapur and Pandharpur, which have no useful transport between them. See outstation cab booking in Pune.
Solapur sits near the Karnataka border. From here it is around 100 km to Vijayapura (Bijapur) with the Gol Gumbaz, and Gangapur's Datta shrine is in the same direction.
Interstate travel carries a permit charge, which is quoted upfront and billed at actual cost.
October to February. Solapur gets seriously hot from March onwards — it is among the hottest cities in Maharashtra, and a temple queue in May heat is difficult.
November to February is also flamingo season at Bhigwan, so a winter trip gets you both.
Toll and parking are not included. They are charged at actual cost and shown separately. Interstate permits, if you continue into Karnataka, are also billed at actuals.
Call +91-8466847272 or use the search box above. If it is a temple circuit, a call is better than the form — we will plan the two days around darshan timings.
Two to three days ahead usually. Longer for festival dates at Akkalkot and Tuljapur, and for Ashadhi Ekadashi if Pandharpur is in your plan.
